Build and Fund Your District Texting Plan

Vottiv can build a texting plan around your district, voter counts, election date, and budget. This option becomes available after Vottiv approves your SMS registration.

Open your plan

Select Open my plan from the Your texting plan is ready message on your dashboard or the banner above the table on the SMS page.

If the dashboard message appears at a busy time, select Remind me later. To stop that dashboard message, select Don't remind me again. These choices apply only to your user account. The SMS-page banner remains available to the organization until a plan is funded.

Choose a budget

Move the budget slider to see how the plan changes. Vottiv updates the suggested audiences, number of contacts, Vottiv Polls, and send dates through Election Day. The audience counts come from the voter data available in your organization.

Review each proposed contact on the timeline. The plan separates outreach to likely supporters from outreach to persuadable voters and changes the mix as the budget changes.

Fund the plan

When the plan looks right, continue to checkout. Checkout buys the full plan budget as Vottiv credits through the same payment process used for other credit purchases.

For a card payment, Vottiv confirms the plan after Stripe confirms the charge. A bank payment may remain pending until the bank transfer clears.

Book your planning call

After payment is confirmed, book a planning call with a Vottiv advisor at calendly.com/d/dtrd-3qn-pfh/advisor-call. An advisor does not contact you first, so book the call as soon as you can.

Vottiv also opens a support ticket for you. The ticket lists your budget, voters to reach, proposed schedule, and the booking link. Reply to the ticket if you have questions before your call.

On the call, you and your advisor write the texts and confirm the poll, images, audiences, and dates. Vottiv then coordinates the managed sends and stays available for questions during the plan.

If your SMS registration is still pending or needs more information, finish that process first. The texting-plan message and SMS-page banner appear only after the registration status is approved.
