Getting Started
Creating and Signing into a Vottiv Account
Creating a Vottiv Account
Creating an account takes just a few minutes. Watch the video below, or follow the written steps underneath it.
Step 1: Sign up
Go to platform.vottiv.com/signup.
Click Continue with Google, or enter your email address and create a password.
Step 2: Choose your account type
Tell us who you are — a candidate campaign, a consultant or management firm, a party organization, or a volunteer. If you're volunteering for a campaign that already uses Vottiv, see Creating and Using a Volunteer Account instead — the campaign will send you an invitation.
Step 3: Enter your campaign details
Enter the candidate's name, your state, the office you're running for, and your district. Vottiv uses this to automatically load the correct voter file for your race.
Joining a campaign that's already on Vottiv
If the candidate name and state you enter match a campaign that already has a Vottiv account, you'll see a warning naming that campaign. This usually means the campaign is already set up and you should join it instead of creating a second copy — ask a campaign admin to invite you to the team using the email address you signed up with. Creating a duplicate account would leave you on an empty organization without the campaign's voter data or team.
If it really is a different campaign that happens to share the candidate's name, check the box confirming this is a different campaign and continue — your account will be created normally.
Step 4: Confirm your district
Review your district on the map and confirm it looks right. If you can't find your district, email [email protected] and we'll get you set up.
Step 5: Activate your Data Center
Choose your plan to activate the Data Center and unlock your voter data. Pricing is based on the number of registered voters in your district — see Understanding Our Pricing for details.
Was Your Account Set Up for You?
If your account was created for you — for example by a consultant, management firm, or party organization — your district is already configured, so Vottiv skips the campaign-details and district-selection steps. The first time you sign in, you'll only be asked to finish a couple of quick things:
Account type — confirm whether the account is for a candidate, a party or committee, or a consultant or business (only asked if it wasn't already set).
Voter contact methods — pick how you plan to reach voters (canvassing, texting, phone calls, direct mail, polling). You can change this at any time.
Campaign story (optional) — candidates and parties can answer a few short questions that help Vottiv's AI tools write better content for your campaign. You can skip these and finish them later under Your Account → Campaign Information.
You will not be asked to reselect your district — it's already on the account. If the district on your account looks wrong, email [email protected].
Switching Between Accounts During Setup
If you belong to more than one Vottiv account, the account setup page shows your current account near the bottom of the setup notice. Select that account card to open Switch Organization, then choose the campaign or organization you want to use.
Signing into Vottiv for the First Time
This video covers how to sign in to Vottiv, whether you created your own account or were invited to join an organization's account.
Next step: follow the Vottiv Quick Start guide to build your first voter group and launch your first voter contact.
