Advanced Canvass Tracking is a premium add-on that gives you detailed visibility into exactly where your canvassers were and what they did at every door.

What is Advanced Canvass Tracking?

When a canvasser marks a door as canvassed, no answer, or declined, Vottiv captures their exact GPS coordinates and the timestamp of that action. Advanced Canvass Tracking unlocks a detailed analytics page for each canvasser where you can review this data.

This is valuable for campaigns that need to verify canvasser activity, investigate suspicious patterns, or simply understand how their team is performing in the field.

What You Can See

GPS Coordinates at Every Door

For each door a canvasser marks, you can see:

Where the canvasser was standing when they recorded the interaction (exact lat/long coordinates)
Where the door is located on the map
Distance from house — how many feet away the canvasser was from the door when they marked it
Timestamp — the exact date and time of the interaction

This data is displayed on an interactive map. Hover over any point to see the full details of that interaction.

Action Path

The map shows the canvasser's walking route as an animated path, letting you see exactly where they traveled throughout their shift. You can filter by date to review any specific day's activity.

Canvasser Interactions Table

A detailed log of every interaction, showing:

Timestamp (date and time down to the second)
Address visited
Voter name
Action type (canvassed, no answer, declined, etc.)
Description of what happened

Timesheet

Track exactly when canvassers were working:

Start and end times for each canvassing session
Total active hours
Inactive time (gaps between activity)
Doors per hour for each session
Total doors knocked

GPS Spoofing Detection

Vottiv automatically analyzes GPS data for signs of spoofing or fraud. If suspicious patterns are detected, you'll see a warning banner with details about what triggered the alert, including:

Static GPS values (coordinates that don't change naturally)
Suspicious movement patterns
Motion sensor conflicts
Unusual GPS patterns

Advanced Canvass Tracking requires an active Data Center and Canvassing subscription.
