FAQs
Manage Your Notification Email Preferences
Vottiv sends a small number of email categories to keep you informed about your account and your campaigns. You can fine-tune which categories you receive — either across all of Vottiv, or for individual organizations you administer.
Where to find it
Sign in to Vottiv and go to Account → Notifications (/portal/account/notifications). You can also open the same controls from the Manage notification preferences link at the bottom of any Vottiv notification email — that link works even if you're not signed in.
All Email Notifications (Global Off Switch)
At the top of the page is a single toggle labeled All Email Notifications. Turning it off stops every Vottiv email to your address, regardless of per-organization settings below. Use this if you want a clean inbox while continuing to use the platform.
The global switch overrides everything underneath. While it's off, the per-organization grid is disabled.
Per-Organization Email Categories
Below the global switch is a grid listing every organization where you are an Organization Admin. Each row has its own set of checkboxes so you can pick exactly which categories you receive from that campaign:
Voter data — Notifications when your voter file is updated with new RNC data (new registrations, address changes, etc.).
Ballot activity — Updates when new ballot return activity (mail, early, in-person) is recorded in your district, including a party breakdown of who has voted — for your district and statewide — and how each party's ballot count changed since the last update.
Billing — Receipts, payment confirmations, subscription changes, and credit purchase confirmations.
Polls — Notifications when a poll launches, daily progress digests, and completion summaries with CSV attachments.
Donations — Donation notifications (only shown for organizations with fundraising enabled).
Direct mail — Order confirmations and daily status digests for your direct-mail postcards.
Incoming SMS — Email alerts when voters reply to your text campaigns.
Why don't I see an organization? The grid only shows organizations where you have the Organization Admin role. Non-admins don't receive these org-level emails, so there's nothing to toggle. If you should see an org here but don't, ask your campaign manager to grant you Organization Admin access.
Saving Changes
There is no Save button — every checkbox change saves automatically and shows a small "Saving…" indicator below the grid. If a save fails, the affected checkbox reverts and a toast appears so you can try again.
Bulk Controls
To quickly silence or re-enable a whole row or column, use the bulk buttons at the edge of the grid:
Row "Off" — Disables every category for that organization in one click.
Column "Off" / "On" — Disables (or enables) a single category across every organization in the grid at once.
Email Footer & One-Click Unsubscribe
Every Vottiv notification email includes a Manage notification preferences for all your accounts link in the footer. This takes you back to this same grid without requiring a sign-in, using a secure 90-day token in the link.
Vottiv emails also support native list-unsubscribe, so the Unsubscribe button in Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail will turn that specific category off for the organization that sent the email.
FAQs
Will turning off "Billing" stop my receipts?
Yes — including payment receipts and subscription change notifications. We recommend leaving Billing on for at least one admin per organization.
If I turn off "Polls", will my poll results still run?
Yes. Email preferences only affect what Vottiv sends to your inbox. Polls, mail, SMS, and every other tool continue to operate normally.
How do I get the link if I lost my email?
Click Request a new link on the expired-link page, or just sign in and visit Account → Notifications directly.
Need Help?
If a category you turned off is still landing in your inbox, contact Vottiv support — include the email subject and a screenshot of your preferences page if you can.
