Adding Team Members to a County Party Account

County parties can easily grant team members the appropriate level of access to manage campaigns, view analytics, or participate in voter outreach activities within their county.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open your Vottiv Dashboard.

    • From your dashboard, look to the bottom-left corner.

  2. Click your County Name.

    • This opens your county’s main settings menu.

  3. Select “Manage Accounts.”

    • A menu will appear with account management options.

  4. Go to the “Team” tab.

    • You’ll find this tab at the top of the page. It lists all current team members.

  5. Add a New Team Member.

    • Click Add New and enter the team member’s email address.

  6. Assign Their Role.

    • Under Role, you can choose from several options depending on what access the team member needs:

      Role Description
      Organization Admin Grants full access to all campaigns, analytics, and settings within your county party organization.
      Call/Text/Canvass Access Allows the team member to participate in calling, texting, canvassing, and voter lookup, but not to create new canvasses, mass texts, postcards, or call campaigns.
      Canvasser Only Limited to canvassing. Canvassers can also automatically gain access by scanning a QR code at a canvassing event — no manual setup required.
      Groups & Lookup Access Grants access to voter groups and the voter lookup tools, but not to outreach campaigns.
      Voter Lookup Only Restricts access to the voter lookup feature only. Ideal for team members who need to research or verify voter information without making edits.
  7. Send the Invitation.

    • Click Send Invitation.

    • The invited team member will receive an email to join your county account with their assigned permissions.


Result

✅ Once they accept the invitation, your new team member will have the appropriate level of access to manage campaigns, participate in outreach, or view analytics based on the role you selected.


Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Didn’t receive the invite?

    • Ask them to check their Spam or Promotions folder.

    • If their email is already registered with Vottiv, see [“Email Already Taken” Error: How to Log In].

  • Need to adjust or remove access?

    • Return to the Team tab anytime to update roles or revoke permissions.


⚠️ County Account Access Policy

County party accounts are reserved exclusively for authorized county leadership personnel. Each county organization manages its own team and should only grant access to verified county officials or approved staff.

Important Access Rules

  • Do not add campaign staff or external users to a county party account.

  • Each individual campaign must create and manage its own separate Vottiv account.

To create a campaign account:

  1. Visit vottiv.com/signup

  2. Create a new account using your campaign’s information

  3. Contact support@vottiv.com if you need help setting up

Consequences of Misuse:

  • Unauthorized access to a county account may result in immediate access revocation.

  • Any campaign data entered under a county account may be deleted without notice to protect the integrity of county-level analytics.
